The Athirappilly Tribal Valley Agricultural project, promoted by the Department of Agricultural Development and Farmer’s Welfare, is an integrated exertion of various departments like Agriculture, Forest, and Tribal Development along with support from UNDP. By ensuring an end to the age-old exploitation of tribal societies at the hands of intermediates and by the effective intervention of various departments, we aim to improve the living standards of the tribal populace in Athirappilly Gramapanchayat.
By giving appropriate training on subsistence farming of crops such as coffee, cocoa, pepper, ginger, cardamom etc. and ensuring a thriving global market for their products like medicinal plants, honey and other Non-Timber Forest Products sourced from the rainforest, we ensure a sustainable market for the tribal community.
We are committed equally to the environment, community and market. So, we take all the measures to promote environmental responsibility, social equity and economic viability for farm communities. By giving rainforest and organic certificates to all our products, we urge farmers and consumers to advance on their journeys to sustainability.
